Athletics are important to me because they can teach you a lot of things that you might not know. I do think that it prepares young people for life because it teaches them responsibilties. For Example, the coach may tell you to be on time becauseyour not it shows that you are not responsible. Additionally, I think that athletes teach us about things that we never knew we could learn from a coach because most of us just think that the coach is supose to teach you how to play a game. It's important to me because it also helps us stay active and learn about how to stay fit in the future. As a result athletics are important in a young persons life because again it teaches you things you might have never known.

I think that people do set very high expectations for themselves that are unrealistic. I think this because what you say and what you do are completely two different things. Anything can go wrong in the process of achieving your goals. You could think that it's so easy and then when you do it; you might give up because you think that it is way to hard. The emotion that "I am Offering This Poem" by Jimmy Santiago Baca expresses is love and that all you need is a relationship that has to do is eachother and support. For example, in this story he tells her that all he can offer is a pot full of yellow corn. This shows that a person that loves you will only give you what you need and to satisfy you. In addition, the man has true feelings for this woman and will offer all he has to keep her. This shows that love is peaceful and romantic but not a fantasy.That's why the emotion of this poem was strong to him and was written to her.

I enjoyed teaching the class the lesson Yaya and I had created. There were some kids that weren't on task, but that seems to be a normal routine for them. I was nervous at first, but once I started talking I felt more comfortable. Im glad that I got to teach because it gave me a chance to experience of being a real teacher. I'm very impressed with Chanda's productivity in class today. She was on task, focused, and was also the first one to finish her work.

I honestly have never changed the way I looked for any reason nor anybody. I have never had a reason to change my apperance. I like wearing make-up but thats only because I like how it makes my eyes look. I wouldn't want to change because now a days theres a lot of people that change so they can " fit in" and be accepted. Like people say " I'd rather be hated for who I am then loved for who im not." I feel good that I am still the same way and I don't plan on changing.

The name of my poem is "Remember" by Joy Harjo. I think people should read this poem because it talks a lot about life and most people don't cherish it. Some one may not want to read this poem because it may be to difficult understand and find it boring. They should read it because it inspires what life is really about. The best part about this poem is when it says the different colors of earth. It states that all of the colors represent the different type of people in this world.

Dream House Paragraph with Imagery

My dream house is a cabin in Washington. I have an overview of the lake in front of my house surrounded by trees. As I walk outside I can taste the fresh pine of the pine trees that are right outside of my cabin. The items in my house feel smooth like the carpet, couches, etc. I smell the different varieties of the trees and animals that live by my house. I hear the birds in the trees, the crickets hiding, and the wolves howling. To achieve this dream I need to make sure I graduate high school and go onto college.
